Tom Brown is an American fashion designer known for his innovation and challenging the design of classic men's suits. Brown started his business in 2001 in a small New York store for men's suits, and continued to expand his fashion brand by creating clothes, suits and accessories. He gained wide and extraordinary recognition when Michelle Obama, the first lady of the USA, wore one of his designs for the inauguration of the president in 2013 and since then he has been considered a leader in the fashion industry. Brown's designs are based on American culture and he was appointed head of the Council of Fashion Designers of the Home Countries in January 2023. The Thom Brown brand is sold in more than 300 stores in 40 countries around the world.
