Gast is an independent eyewear brand based in Milan. The brand was established to provide handcrafted, high-quality sunglasses that challenge market standards and set pricing against industry norms. Gaste is committed to creating a luxury yet accessible sunglasses market, with each piece in the collection carrying a part of Italian heritage. The designs reflect a rich world of cultures, colors, and design intricacies. Gaste's sunglasses are made from cellulose acetate produced by Italy's leading company, Mazzucchelli, with the manufacturing process involving more than 50 stages, all overseen by expert craftsmen, from cutting the acetate sheets to the final polishing. Some of the collection is crafted from M49 bioplastic, a new eco-friendly thermoplastic material tested and declared fully biodegradable and recyclable.
