Gast is an independent eyewear brand based in Milan. The brand was founded with the aim of providing high-quality, handmade sunglasses, challenging market standards and setting prices against the industry. The brand is committed to creating a sunglasses market with luxurious yet accessible designs. Each piece in the collection carries a part of the Italian heritage and reflects a whole world of cultures, colors and design richness.
Gast sunglasses are made from cellulose acetate manufactured by the leading Italian company Mazzucchelli, and the production process consists of more than 50 steps and is supervised by expert artists, from cutting the acetate sheets to the final polishing. Part of the collection is made from M49 bioplastic, a new and environmentally friendly thermoplastic material, which has been tested and declared completely biodegradable and recyclable.
